Hellenic Medical Society Honors Dr. George Kofinas

The Hellenic Medical Society of New York honored Dr. George D. Kofinas, Director of the Fertility Institute at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital with the Distinguished Physician Award at their 81st Annual Scholarship Gala on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the JW Marriott Essex House in New York City. Both Dr. George Kofinas and his wife, Dr. Miranda Kofinas, are members of Leadership 100.

The other honorees included Dr. Florentia Christodoulidou, Internal Medicine, Mt. Sinai Hospital of Queens, and Dr. Katherine E. Fleming, PhD, Provost, NYU.

Dr. Kofinas was also the keynote speaker at the Hellenic Medical Scientific Symposium & Scholarship Awards at Lenox Hill Hospital Einhorn Auditorium on Friday, Dec. 1. He spoke on the role of genetics in reproductive and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Kofinas, Founder and Medical Director of the Kofinas Fertility Group, is Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, considered among the best in the world. He has also been listed among New York Magazine’s Best Doctors for the last two decades.
