Froso Beys Honored For Civic Leadership
Froso Beys, a longtime member of Leadership 100 and of its Board of Trustees, was recognized for her leadership and charitable activities by New York City Comptroller John C. Liu during the Greek Heritage and Culture Celebration on April 24, 2012. She received a Commendation for her outstanding leadership and volunteerism on behalf of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan charities, for her unwavering commitment to bettering communities, for her dedication to helping others find success, and for her tremendous contributions to the City of New York.
In addition to Leadership 100, she has served on the Archdiocesan Council of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, as Vice President of the National Phlioptochos Society and President of the Holy Trinity Cathedral Philoptochos Society, as Vice President of the Board of Trustees of Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, and with The American Associates of the Saint Catherine Foundation. She resides in Manhattan.
Beys was recently promoted to Senior Vice President at The Corcoran Group in New York City, where she is an Associate Broker and has worked for 11 years. Most recently she has developed a multi-generational, professional team approach with Anna Harovas Xylas and Alexandra Papanicolaou in buying or selling a Manhattan home that has won them recognition as members of Corcoran’s Multi-Million-Dollar Club and rating in the Top 1% of NRT brokers nationwide.
Born in Greece, Beys spent her entire adult life in New York. After completing undergraduate studies at Finch College, she received an MBA from Pace University. Her previous professional experience included positions in her family’s shipping firm and as a broker in the financial industry.
