Hellenic Public Radio - "Cosmos FM 91.5" honored Michael G. In his acceptance speech, Psaros thanked the Board of Directors of  the Greek American Educational Public Information System (GAEPIS), the station’s parent organization for this recognition, saying that "Cosmos FM has been a part of my family since 1989.”

"This honor belongs to my parents, George and Mary Ann and Robin, my wife of almost 25 years. My parents are the reason I have dedicated a life of service to serve our Church, Hellenism, and the Omogenia.” He thanked his wife "for allowing our family to devote the time and resources to serve our Church and the many Hellenic causes we are committed to, often at great sacrifice to our family.”

He went on saying that "this honor is uniquely special because my family and I share the values and value system that is promoted and advocated by Cosmos FM everyday on this radio" and encouraged everyone to support the "only daily bilingual non commercial public radio that serves the issues of the Hellenic Community", promising that he will make every year "a very meaningful matching gift to challenge the listeners to give more".

Stating that "we are going to build St. Nicholas Church", Psaros noted that he along with Elaine Allen, the newly appointed treasurer of the Archdiocesan Council, are two of the incorporators of the new entity, "The Friends of St. Nicholas", which will oversee the fundraising efforts.
