National Hellenic Museum to Hold Annual Gala in Chicago
The National Hellenic Museum Gala 2023 will be held on Saturday, September 16th at the Marriott Marquis in Chicago. The annual gala supports the museum’s mission to share Greek history, art, culture, and the Greek American story. The event will include dining, live music, dancing, and an auction.
Demetrios G. Logothetis, Leadership 100 Chairman, will offer remarks at the event. He stated:
“I am privileged that Leadership 100 is participating in this remarkable National Hellenic Museum Gala. The museum has successfully and uniquely portrayed our Greek heritage and culture under the leadership of its Chairman, John P. Calamos. Sr, who is a member of Leadership 100. This exceptional institution is deserving of the support of all Greek Americans and Philhellenes.”
Logothetis, furthermore, stated: “This year there is a special opportunity for guests from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. on Friday, September 15 - the grand opening of the exhibit celebrating the Centennial of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, 1922-2022. For the first time, it will include a section celebrating the forthcoming 40th Anniversary of the Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Fund, 1984-2024. We are grateful to the Archdiocese and Museum for including the inauguration of our 40th Anniversary.”
Mike Manatos, a member of the Leadership 100 Executive Committee, will serve as National Gala Chairman, alongside Gala Regional Co-Chairs Dr. George and Raffaella Bovis, Andrea Darlas, Alex and Kathy Gianaras, and Kenneth and Angela Kondraros.
Manatos stated: “I am proudly serving as Gala Chairman, as one of the museum’s biggest fans. Proceeds from the gala support its vital mission to share Greek history, culture, art, and the Greek American story in relevant and meaningful ways. Its Board of Trustees, led by Chairman John Calamos, is filled with some of our national community’s finest people.”
