New Beginnings

Dear Members,

Christos Anesti!

In beginning my term as Chairman, I anticipated that Leadership 100 would be making a transition in a new environment for both our Church and our Nation. Serving as Vice Chairman gave me the distinct advantage of collaborating with Chairman Argyris Vassiliou and Executive Director Paulette Poulos on several significant initiatives. I would like to take this opportunity to personally acknowledge and thank our most respected RJ who has faithfully devoted his time, talent and treasure to Leadership 100 and to the Church at large.

First, we began to reevaluate our communications strategy and decided that now was the time to redesign our website to create not only a more contemporary source of information, but also a multi-functional vehicle to upgrade our office operations, including accepting payments for membership contributions, for the first time. We engaged Dean Christopher of Dean Christopher Design, LLC, of Denver, Colorado, in February of this year to begin the intricate process of the redesign, in collaboration with our staff. Together, they produced new materials and new functions.

With this L100 In Action newsletter, we are proud to inaugurate the new www.L100.org website.

Second, we began to consult with members of the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees to hear their suggestions for new initiatives. In presiding for the first time as Chairman at a meeting of the Executive Committee on Friday, May 13, 2022, we will discuss some new ideas for the future direction of Leadership 100. Among our major goals will be increasing membership to 2000 by our 40th Anniversary in 2024, launching the Leadership 100 Plus program, continuing to improve our annual conferences, and creating more events and opportunities for young professionals.

With the inauguration of the new website, we will begin to do more things digitally, while continuing popular printed publications. To begin with, the last item in this newsletter is a digital link to the current issue of The Leader, which will also appear on our Facebook page.

As we face a rapidly changing world, we are increasingly challenged to hold to the time-tested values of our Orthodox Faith and Hellenic Heritage, while finding better ways to communicate and relate to our fellow men and women and to contemporary society.

These can be interesting and exciting times to move Leadership 100 forward. We have the talent and the resources to do so as we look to God for guidance.

We Pray that you and your loved ones will share in the Blessings, Peace and Joy of this Holy Pascha.

With warmest regards,
