The Hellenic American Academy Honors Robert A. Buhler

The Hellenic American Academy, meeting at its Annual Gala, March 16, 2024, Loews Chicago O’Hare, Rosemont, IL, honored Robert A. Buhler, a member of Leadership 100 with the Distinguished Philhellene Award, noted that Philhellenes continue to play a critical role in the promotion of Hellenism and the ideals of Hellenism.

The evening’s program honored and recognized the achievements of Hellenes and Philhellenes who have excelled in every field of endeavor and are dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Hellenic language, culture, and values.  Their stories are meant to inspire students of the Hellenic American Academy to continuously strive for excellence.

 Buhler is an accomplished businessman with more than three decades of experience in investment banking, retail sales and real estate development. A faithful Orthodox Christian, he has endeavored to serve the Church for over 35 years from Parish Councils to an Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

 As Chairman of the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation, Buhler leads the mission of the organization to promote education by providing scholarships and programs to Greek American students who, guided by the values of their Hellenic upbringing, have the potential to become life-long significant achievers and contribute meaningfully to society.

 Demetrios G. Logothetis, both Hellenic American Academy Chairman and Leadership 100 Chairman, commented, “Leadership 100 is extremely proud of Robert, Violetta and their family who have been exemplary members of Leadership 100.
