Andy Manatos, a longtime prominent member of Leadership 100, received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Greek America Foundation's GABBY (Greek America’s Best and Brightest) Awards before 700 at Carnegie Hall in New York City on June 17, 2017.

As one of Washington DC’s most politically-connected people, Andy Manatos has not only set numerous records in the policymaking process of the U.S. government on behalf of clients, but his extensive work has also benefited Greece, Cyprus, the Greek Orthodox Church and the Greek American community in an immeasurable way with countless hours of pro bono work.

Manatos was the youngest presidential advance man for President Lyndon Johnson and the youngest Assistant Secretary in the Carter Administration. Since then he’s built an impressive portfolio of accomplishments, including successfully organizing the annual White House Greek Independence Day Celebration.

Video tributes to Manatos included President Bill Clinton and President George H.W. Bush, among many other prominent leaders. Gregory Pappas, Founder of the Greek America Foundation, and the Foundation's Board of Directors organized the program, which also honored Leadership 100 member  Danialle Karmanos, founder of Danialle Karmanos' Work It Out,  for her efforts in introducing yoga, nutrition programs-- and safe sanctuaries-- for thousands of inner city kids in Detroit, taking them off the streets and into safe, loving environments.
