Center For Family Care Launches Webinar
Leader 100 has supported the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Center for Family Care with $866,660 in grants for a variety of ministries through 2014. The Center for Family Care is part of the Department of Marriage and Family which has received $581,330 in grants, bringing the total to $1,447, 990. A recent grant underwrote the launching earlier this year of a monthly webinar series of online workshops for families and parish ministry workers.
New Textbooks for Religious Education
Leadership 100 has awarded a grant of $80,000 in 2014 to the Department of Religious Education of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America to publish a new textbook and teacher’s guide for Grade 4, following an earlier grant of $81,759 in 2012 to publish a new textbook for Grade 5, both part of a new textbook series titled, “Living Our Orthodox Faith.”
Saint Nicholas National Shrine Appeal

The Saint Nicholas Church, destroyed in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, is being resurrected at Ground Zero. A long and difficult journey is nearing its remarkable goal, as from the ashes of the destroyed church, a new church structure will soon rise as a manifestation of the glory of God and the victory of the human spirit.

Lila Prounis Inducted into Hunter Hall of Fame
Lila Jentiles Prounis, a member of Leadership 100, was inducted into the Hunter Hall of Fame, established in 1972 in celebration of the Alumni Association of Hunter College’s 100th Anniversary to commemorate accomplished alumni of Hunter College of the City University of New York in New York City. Prounis, who received her BA from Hunter College in 1948, was acknowledged for her life of public service with a special focus on improving the lives of women around the world.

The Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Endowment Fund marked its 30th Anniversary at its 23rd Annual Conference, February 13-16, 2014 at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples in Naples, Florida. Some 400 members and their guests attended, according to Charles H. Cotros, the outgoing Chairman, who passed the torch of his office to George S. Tsandikos, Vice Chairman, at the Grand Gala on Saturday, February 16.

George S. Tsandikos of New York, New York was inaugurated as the Chairman of Leadership 100 on February 15, 2014 at the Grand Gala of the 23rd Annual Leadership 100 Conference at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples in Naples, Florida. He served as Vice Chairman for the past two years under Charles H. Cotros, of Memphis, Tennessee, whose term was completed as Chairman but who remains a member of the Executive Committee.

Washington Membership Event
Leadership 100 members from the Washington, DC metropolitan area gathered on January 14, 2014 with prospective Leadership 100 members and guests for a private tour of the National Gallery of Art exhibit "Heaven and Earth: Art of Byzantium from Greek Collections." The event was organized by Mike Manatos, a member of the Leadership 100 Board of Trustees.
George Tsunis Hearing
