A new reality has emerged. The restart of the Economy is a challenge that governments and societies must address, adapting to a new growth model. For Greece, in particular, which had only just begun to exit a long lasting crisis, the stakes are twofold: how will the country recover and return to a path of economic growth.

Capital Link's initiative aims to highlight how different areas of economic activity can play a key role in this new reality. The focus will be on the new market environment, taking into account the new requirements of restrictive measures and the prioritization of digital solutions, while method proposals for the country’s dynamic return to a growth course will be discussed.

FORUM OVERVIEW

This year’s Forum title is: “ECONOMY & SOCIETY: THE NEXT DAY”, as dealing with the economic consequences from the pandemic is something of utmost interest for everyone. How each sector will contribute to the new tomorrow’s reality, how is the market environment transformed given the distancing imposed as well as the turn to adopting digital solutions, how will the country acquire the fastest possible to a dynamic return to growth.

Under the current circumstances, restarting the Economy is vital, in order to secure the transition to a new growth model, which will essentially contribute to a more active form of participation by all entities involved and by the society, in returning the country back to the recovery path and exit from introversion to which it has been forced.

DIGITAL FORUM – PARTICIPATION OF GREEK DIASPORA

Adapting to the current reality with all events being cancelled or postponed, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Forum will be organized in digital form. It is especially in periods of uncertainty and crisis that everyone needs to keep the sense of community, the industry connectivity and the information flow at this time of travel restrictions and social distancing with a growing need of information and exchange of views on the impact of restrictive measures as well as the new economic environment.

CAPITAL LINK CSR FORUM – HISTORY

Capital Link CSR Forum is taking place for the 10th consecutive year, its main focus being Corporate Social Responsibility, having managed to explore successfully the transition from Corporate Social Responsibility to Sustainability in Greece. The Forum has showcased the active turnaround and concentration to sustainability shown by Greek enterprises, their alternative operational methods at all stages of production that reduce their environmental footprint, the transparency in corporate governance and the humanitarian sensitivity, especially during the current period of economic distress that impose a further burden on companies and the welfare of Greek families.
