Cliffs Of Freedom
Dear Members,
I want to wish you and your loved ones a Blessed Lenten Journey.
As you may know by now, our long-time and faithful members, Marianne and Dean Metropoulos, have produced the film, Cliffs of Freedom, based on Marianne’s screenplay and story set within the Greek War of Independence in 1821. Cliffs of Freedom is playing at AMC Theaters nationwide (see list below).
We urge you to see the film and share it with members of your family and your community. While the story is simple, a young Greek village girl falls in love with a handsome Turkish officer and the couple is besieged by conflicts within the context of the Greek War of Independence following four centuries of Ottoman Rule, it is a testimony to the Greek spirit and quest for freedom. The story is especially meaningful as we celebrate Greek Independence Day on March 25th, as well as to all who cherish freedom.
With warmest regards,
Argyris Vassiliou
Chairman
