Michael Kratsios, United States Chief Technology Officer, Keynote Speaker at Leadership 100 Conference

Michael Kratsios, United States Chief Technology Officer, was the keynote speaker on Friday, February 21, 2020.

Kratsios, who has served in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy since March 2017, was confirmed by unanimous voice vote by the U.S. Senate on August 1, 2019.

During the confirmation hearing held the prior week, Kratsios expressed an intention to continue with the kind of work he’d been doing for the past two-and-a-half years. “From the start, I united OSTP around a clear mission: ensure continued American leadership in emerging technologies,” he said. read more

Tim Tassopoulos, President and Chief Operating Officer of Chick-fil-A, Inc. led the Business Forum on Thursday, February 20, 2020.

Tassopoulos began his 40-year career at Chick-fil-A as an hourly restaurant team member and was appointed as President and Chief Operating Officer in 2016.  He has served as Director of Field Operations, Vice President of Operations, Senior Vice President of Operations, and, most recently, Executive Vice President of Operations.

Tassopoulos graduated in 1981 as valedictorian from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. He received his Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, in 1983, where he was recognized with the Graduate School Service Award. read more

Fr. Jim Kordaris

Fr. Jim Kordaris, who serves the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America as Director of Stewardship, Outreach & Evangelism, led the Opening Forum on February 20, 2020.

Fr. Jim was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  At St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church in Minneapolis, under the spiritual leadership of Fr. Anthony Coniaris, he served in many capacities.

Fr Jim has BA-Psychology (1979) and MBA-Finance (1983) degrees from the University of Minnesota. Following twelve years in the financial services industry, he entered Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, receiving his Master of Divinity degree in 1999.  He was ordained to the Diaconate in 1998 and to the Priesthood in 1999.  Fr. Jim was appointed Director of the newly formed Department of Outreach & Evangelism in January of 2003. In 2009 Stewardship Ministry was added to his responsibilities. read more

Ronald McDonald House New York, Greek Division honored Dr. Spiros Spireas, President and Chief Executive Officer of SigmaPharm Laboratories and a member of Leadership 100 and Paulette Poulos, Executive Director of Leadership 100, at its 24th Annual Christmas Dinner on December 10, 2019 at the New York Athletic Club in New York City.

Ronald McDonald House New York is “where hope has a home” for pediatric cancer patients and their families battling aggressive, recurring and rare childhood cancers. The Greek Division of Ronald McDonald House New York began in 1979 with the partnership of two friends who shared a dream: to support children and families suffering through the trials of pediatric cancer treatment. Since then the House has served over 10,000 Greek families battling pediatric cancer. The Greek community over the years has responded in immeasurable ways in return to keep the dream alive and raise funds for  all children in need. read more

Some 50 Leadership 100 young professionals and their guests gathered for the Christmas holidays on December 12 in New York City. Callie and Anastasia Pantelidis, members of Leadership 100, organized the event. Leadership 100 Chairman Argyris Vassiliou, his wife, Ann, and Leadership 100 Executive Director , Paulette Poulos, attended, along with  Leadership 100 members Jim, George and Peter Pantelidis. Jim is a member of the Leadership 100 Executive Committee and George is the father of Callie and Anastasia.

Vassiliou said, “We continue to encourage our younger Leadership 100 members to reach out to their peers and participate in the mission of Leadership 100. Their attendance at our Leadership 100 Annual Conferences increases every year, along with their recruitment of new members. read more

Mike Manatos Wins DC’s Dancing with the Stars Gala

Mike Manatos, a member of the Leadership 100 Executive Committee, won the DC Dancing with the Stars competition on November 9. Manatos won by raising $85,000 from 251 supporters across the country for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic, of which he became Chairman of the Board in September. Mike’s wife, Laura, President of Laura Evans Media, was emcee of the event. read more
