National Leadership 100 Sunday was observed for the eighth year in parishes across the nation on October 23, 2016, the Feastday of Saint Iakovos, according to George S. Tsandikos, Leadership 100 Chairman and Theodore K. Zampetis, National Leadership 100 Sunday Chairman and National Membership Chairman.
Leadership 100 Supports Church Camps For Sixth Year
Leadership 100 awarded the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries Camping Ministry program $270,000 for the sixth consecutive year in 2016. Grants of $30,000 were distributed to the Direct Archdiocesan District and to each Metropolis. The primary purpose of the grant is to enable Greek Orthodox youth who do not have the financial means to participate in a summer camp program. Some funding may also be applied to programming, supplies, transportation, youth protection training and background checks of staff members. The program was once again in full swing across the country in the summer of 2016, making it possible for numerous young people to attend camp programs.
John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers Celebrate 20th Anniversary Of Founding
The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers at five universities in Iowa, along with the State of Iowa, celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of the Centers through the generosity and vision of their founders, John C. and Mary Pappajohn of Des Moines, Iowa, long-time member of Leadership 100.

The Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity honored Peter C. Georgiopoulos with the Holy Trinity Award at its 81st Annual Gala on September 17 at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. Some 500 members and guests were in attendance.

Leadership 100 Chairman Emeritus Constantine Caras and members, Dr. Stamatios Kartalopoulos and Anita Kartalopoulos traveled to Warsaw, Poland to testify on September 26 and 27, 2016 before the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
