At Microsoft Panos Panay’s official title is Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer, but at his core he’s a product maker with an eye for detail and a love of innovation. He leads the vision and strategy for Windows + Devices, which includes the development and design of Windows and Windows 365, Mixed Reality and HoloLens, Education and Modern Life, as well as the development, design, supply chain, and manufacturing of Microsoft hardware, including Microsoft Surface devices. 

 Under Panos’ leadership, the Windows + Devices team blends art, science, and unwavering pride in craftsmanship to create end-to-end experiences that fuse hardware and software, transforming the way people work, live, create, and learn.

Since joining Microsoft in 2004, Panay has become known as a creative visionary in product-making. He truly believes that products are a reflection of the people who make them and the people who use them. The passion and care that is put into the development of any product from a new feature in Windows to the creation of a new form factor is felt by each person who uses it. 

Looking to the future he and his team will continue to innovate and enable advanced technologies, such as bringing cloud and local compute together seamlessly to enable AI powered experiences.

Panay is a devoted husband and father of four. He and his family moved from Los Angeles to the Seattle area 18 years ago to join Microsoft. When he’s not at work, he can usually be found spending time with his family, golfing, or cooking.
