National Leadership 100 Sunday Observed for Thirteenth Year

The thirteenth observance of National Leadership 100 Sunday took place across the nation on October 17, 2021, a Sunday in proximity to the Feastday of Saint Iakovos on October 23, in honor of the Founder of Leadership 100, Archbishop Iakovos of Blessed Memory. His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America issued an Encyclical on behalf of the Holy Eparchial Synod, which was read at the Divine Liturgy by Parish Priests in every Metropolis and the direct Archdiocesan District.

Support provided by Leadership 100 for the National Ministries of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, as well as for Metropolis ministries was highlighted in programs organized by members of Leadership 100.

Argyris Vassiliou, Chairman of Leadership 100, stated:

“National Leadership 100 Sunday continues to demonstrate the unwavering support Leadership 100 provides for the National Ministries of our Archdiocese. We commend the many Parish Priests and Leadership 100 members who took part in this thirteenth observance, and we remember fondly our esteemed Chairman Emeritus, Stephen G. Yeonas of Blessed Memory, who initiated the idea for the observance.

Today, Leadership 100 counts 1,176 members from a broad spectrum of Greek Orthodox leaders, men and women of all ages from every field of endeavor. Since its founding, Leadership 100 has distributed more than $65 million in grants to support the National Ministries of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, Metropolis Ministries, and humanitarian needs in the nation and around the world.
