Ministry Impact Story: The Future of Our Faith

Investing in Our Youth: Metropolis and Archdiocesan District Youth Camps

At the heart of Leadership 100’s mission is the desire to preserve our Orthodox Faith and Hellenic Heritage for the next generation. There is perhaps no greater "laboratory for faith" than our Metropolis and Archdiocesan District Camps.

Because of the steady stewardship of L100 members, these programs are not just "vacations" -  they are transformative spiritual retreats where lifelong bonds are formed.

A Glimpse into the Impact

In 2025, over 2,500 youth and young adults across the United States participated in Metropolis and Archdiodesan-led camping programs. Leadership 100 has granted over $3.8 million to the Metropolis and Archdiocesan District Camps to directly lower the barrier to entry, providing scholarships and funding for essential infrastructure that keeps these programs safe, modern, and spiritually vibrant.

Why Your Support Matters:

  • Accessibility: Grants ensure that every child, regardless of financial background, has the opportunity to attend.

  • Safety & Innovation: Funding supports the training of over 400 young adult counselors annually in safety, mental health awareness, and spiritual guidance.

St. Stephen’s Camp | Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta

“St. Stephen’s Camp is the heart of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta, where we strive to create a safe and joyful environment that brings our youth closer to God. Through fun, fellowship, and shared experiences of our Orthodox faith and Hellenic heritage - from church services to cabin discussions and everyday moments of connection - campers strengthen their faith and come together as one family. Thanks to Leadership 100’s generous support, no idea is too big, enabling us to expand our reach and continually enrich the spiritual life of the camp.”

Camp Saint Paul | Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan District

“Camp Saint Paul gives our District youth a space where their Orthodox faith comes alive in a real and personal way through daily prayer, worship, friendships, and the experience of Christian community. It also helps them grow in their Hellenic identity by surrounding them with the language, traditions, music, dance, and shared values that connect them more deeply to their heritage. Leadership 100’s support means so much to our program because it helps us keep camp accessible for families and makes it possible for more children to have an experience that shapes both their faith and their sense of Hellenic identity.

Thank you to Leadership 100 for all that you do!”

Camp Emmanuel | Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Denver

“Why do the Greeks dance in circles? Some say it is to show that in Greek culture, everyone is included. Due to the support and generosity of Leadership 100, costs are reduced for each camper, and adequate staff numbers can be supported to ensure a truly enriching spiritual experience. Leadership 100 is instrumental in creating space through camping ministry for young people to be themselves, explore who they are in God’s eyes, and ask life’s big questions. When practical needs are met by Leadership 100s support, campers and volunteer staff have the opportunity for authentic encounters with Faith in fellowship.”
