As the summer months reach their peak, the campgrounds of our Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America are bustling with life, laughter, and prayer. From coast to coast, our Archdiocesan District and Metropolis summer camps are fully active, welcoming thousands of our youth back to nature, fellowship, and closer communion with Christ.
Supported through the visionary grant funding of Leadership 100, these sacred programs continue to serve as a cornerstone for youth ministry, shaping the future leaders of our Church.
Here is a brief review of the incredible spiritual and community journeys taking place across our regional camps this season:
Direct Archdiocesan District Camp (Camp St. Paul): Campers are gathering to form lifelong friendships grounded in Orthodox fellowship, blending daily chapel services with traditional summer camp recreation.
“Camp Saint Paul gives our District youth a space where their Orthodox faith comes alive in a real and personal way through daily prayer, worship, friendships, and the experience of Christian community. It also helps them grow in their Hellenic identity by surrounding them with the language, traditions, music, dance, and shared values that connect them more deeply to their heritage. Leadership 100’s support means so much to our program because it helps us keep camp accessible for families and makes it possible for more children to have an experience that shapes both their faith and their sense of Hellenic identity.

Metropolis of Boston Camp (MBC Summer Camp): MBC continues its deep tradition of faith-building in New England, offering an environment where young people experience the joy of Christ in an active, loving community.
“The campers, staff, and volunteers who come to MBC often say that their experience is life changing. Through their time at MBC, participants have the opportunity to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to gain a deeper understanding of their Orthodox faith, to form rich and lasting friendships, and to gain an appreciation of their Hellenic culture. Leadership 100 plays a vital role in this ministry by extending this opportunity to campers who otherwise would not be able to come because of financial constraints.”

Metropolis of Pittsburgh Camp (Camp Nazareth) : Pittsburgh campers are exploring their faith through small-group theology discussions, worship, and collaborative outdoor activities.
Metropolis of San Francisco (St. Nicholas Ranch): Emphasizing spiritual renewal amidst the scenic West Coast, this program focuses on leadership development and dynamic youth fellowship.
Metropolis of Atlanta Camps (St. Stephen’s): Spreading across multiple regional locations, Atlanta’s youth ministries are thriving with energetic camp sessions focused on living the Orthodox faith in everyday life.

Metropolis of New Jersey Camp (Camp Good Shepherd): Gathering regional youth for an impactful camping season, New Jersey focuses on cultivating an environment of brotherly love, liturgical worship, and vibrant summer memories.
Metropolis of Chicago (Fanari): St. Timothy's is instilling a deep sense of Orthodox identity, providing young people a safe harbor to grow spiritually and physically.

Metropolis of Denver Camp (Camp Emmanuel) : Nestled in the beauty of the Rockies, this camp offers youth a peaceful setting to disconnect from technological distractions and connect deeply with their peers and their spiritual mentors.
“Why do the Greeks dance in circles? Some say it is to show that in Greek culture, everyone is included. Due to the support and generosity of Leadership 100, costs are reduced for each camper, and adequate staff numbers can be supported to ensure a truly enriching spiritual experience. Leadership 100 is instrumental in creating space through camping ministry for young people to be themselves, explore who they are in God’s eyes, and ask life’s big questions. When practical needs are met by Leadership 100s support, campers and volunteer staff have the opportunity for authentic encounters with Faith in fellowship.”
