30th Annual Leadership 100 Conference in 2021 To be Replaced with Virtual Annual Meeting
The 30th Annual Leadership 100 Conference, scheduled for February 4-7, 2021 at The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Arizona, has been postponed and will be replaced by a Virtual Annual Meeting during the same period. Our Chairman, Argyris Vassiliou, stated: “This unfortunate action was taken due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding air travel and large gatherings.”
The difficult decision, which was made in July in consultation with the Executive Committee, was successfully negotiated with The Phoenician earlier this month to eliminate a substantial cancellation fee on condition of holding the 32nd Annual Leadership 100 Conference at the hotel, February 9-12, 2023.
“We believe this is the right course of action as we hold the safety and well-being of our members as our highest priority during these uncertain times,” said Vassiliou. Plans are being made to hold the Annual Meeting portion of the Conference over one or two days during the same period in February 2021, and will include meetings of the Executive Committee, the Board of Trustees and the General Assembly.
“The business of Leadership 100 has continued uninterrupted during the pandemic and we plan to conduct our annual audits at the end of this year, allowing us to give full reports to our governing bodies, as we continue to operate with full transparency in the absence of the Annual Conference,” added Vassiliou.
We look forward to being together at our 31st Annual Conference scheduled for February 10-13, 2022 at The Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida.
