New York Membership Event

Leadership 100 members and prospects, 60 in all, were hosted once again at Kellari’s Parea in the Gramercy Park section of New York City on Thursday, May 28, to continue the 25th Anniversary Membership Campaign into 2009, with a goal of 50 members. Last year, a similar event helped the 2008 goal reach 50 new members.

OCMC Dedicates New Building

The new Orthodox Christian Mission Center’s (OCMC) Archbishop Anastasios and Archbishop Demetrios Missionary Training and Administration Building was dedicated during the two-day festivities of May 20-21 in St. Augustine, Florida. The new building was named in honor of Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durres, and All Albania and Archbishop Demetrios of America, who led the ceremonies. Archbishop Demetrios presided over the service along with Archbishop Anastasios and Metropolitan Jonah, the leading hierarch of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA).

Seminarians Visit L100

Some 21 Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology seniors visited the Leadership 100 offices in the Olympic Tower in New York City on April 2 as part of their annual Archdiocesan Seminar. First Lady Of Leadership 100

Romas of Short Hills, NJ as Secretary, the first woman to be named an officer of the organization, should also have noted that the longest serving woman on the Board of Trustees was Evanthea (“Eve”) N. Grants Go to Holy Cross, Home Missions and Clergy in Need

Cotros, which has raised $1,071,350 in cash and pledges from Leadership 100 members in the face of the economic downturn, has distributed $500,000 million to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology to continue support of scholarships for seminarians studying for the priesthood.
