Leadership 100 Conference Expands Program
The 24th Annual Leadership 100 Conference will take place February 12-15, 2015 at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. It will include the traditional Bible Study and Lecture by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, along with other outstanding speakers. Two forums will feature Leadership 100 members: Michael Psaros, Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of KPS Capital Partners, LP, and Dr. Eleni Andreopoulou, from the faculty at the Weill Cornell Medical College/New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. In addition, Dr. Panagiota (Penny) Andreopoulou, an Attending Endocrinologist in the Department of Medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at the Weill Cornell Medical College, will join her sister in the presentation. A third Forum has also been added to address the building of the Saint Nicholas National Shrine at the World Trade Center.
Dr. Panagiota Andreopoulou Joins Address At Saturday Forum
Dr. Panagiota (Penny) Andreopoulou, an Attending Endocrinologist in the Department of Medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at the Weill Cornell Medical College, will join her sister, Dr. Eleni Andreopoulou, in addressing the Saturday Forum on February 14, 2015.
Saint Nicholas National Shrine Plans To Be Presented at Thursday Forum
As the only house of worship destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Saint Nicholas Church is set to be rebuilt as the Saint Nicholas National Shrine at the World Trade Center by the end of 2016. Jerry Dimitriou, Executive Director of Administration of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, will present the plans and status of the project at the Thursday Forum on February 12, 2015.
Leadership 100 Recognizes Role of Archbishop Iakovos in Historic Civil Rights Movement
Leadership 100 members paid homage to the role of Archbishop Iakovos in the historic Civil Rights Movement in several ways. Leadership 100 Partners plan to organize a Day of Service on Sunday, March 22nd, 2015 in recognition of the 50th Anniversary of Archbishop Iakovos accompanying Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on the historic Selma to Montgomery March.
George Bousis Chosen by Forbes 30 Under 30
George Bousis, 27, son of Leadership 100 members Eleni and Dimitris Bousis of Northbrook, Illinois, was chosen by Forbes 30 Under 30 2015, a select list of young entrepreneurs, “game changers, movers and shakers.” Forbes, the business magazine, screened 600 millennials in 20 fields by a panel of expert judges.He was chosen in the consumer technology field that Forbes characterized as the most promising young entrepreneurs who set out “to mobilize your life, building companies focused on helping to manage the day with use of a smartphone.”
Ambassador Loucas Tsilas Completes Tenure As Executive Director Of Onassis Foundation
Ambassador Loucas Tsilas completed his 15-year tenure as Executive Director of the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation (USA) in January. The Ambassador, who is leaving his post in accordance with mandatory retirement rules, will remain in the United States and remain active in a teaching position at a New York area university. He will be honored on February 3, 2015 at a dinner hosted by the President and Treasurer of the parent Alexander S. Public Benefit Foundation, Dr. Anthony S. Papadimitriou.

Dr. Eleni Andreopoulou To Address Saturday Forum
Dr. Eleni Andreopoulou will address the Saturday Forum on February 14, 2015. Dr. Andreopoulou serves on the faculty at the Weill Cornell Medical College/New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. She was previously a member of the faculty in the Department of Breast Medical Oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where she held the title of Attending Physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine.

Mark D. Stavropoulos of Troy, Michigan, a long-time member of Leadership 100 who served for many years on the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee and as Chairman of the Grant Committee, was named as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC). He had served for many years on the IOCC Board and as Treasurer.
Saint Nicholas National Shrine to be Built Following Ground Blessing Ceremony
A Ground Blessing ceremony for the Saint Nicholas National Shrine at the World Trade Center took place on October 18, 2014 at its site on Liberty Street, overlooking the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. As the only house of worship destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the church is set to be rebuilt as a shrine by the end of 2016. Some 2,500 persons were in attendance.
Leadership 100 Sunday Observed Across Nation
National Leadership 100 Sunday was observed in more than 500 parishes of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese on October 26, 2014, the sixth consecutive celebration. This year’s event, which followed the Feast of Saint Iakovos in honor of the Founder of Leadership 100, coincided with the Feast of Saint Demetrios. It also marked the year-long celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Leadership 100.
