Leadership 100 Partners Day of Service Marks 50th Anniversary of Selma Marches
The Leadership 100 Partners Day of Service was held as a multi-city event on Sunday, March 22nd at participating Greek Orthodox parishes after liturgy, in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the participation of Archbishop Iakovos of Blessed Memory in the Selma to Montgomery Civil Rights Marches. Leadership 100 members demonstrated that they give back to the community not only through financial contributions but also with their time and service.

The Executive Committee welcomed Theodore K. Zampetis of the Metropolis of Detroit as a newly elected member at its meeting during the 24th Annual Leadership 100 Conference. Leadership 100 Annual Conference Presents Awards for Excellence, Approves New Grants
The 24th Annual Leadership 100 Conference, which took place February 12-15, 2015, at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida, featured the presentation of the Archbishop lakovos Leadership 100 Award for Excellence to the renowned Greek academician, artist and designer, Ilias I. Lalaounis, who passed away in December of 2013, accepted by his wife, Lila, at the Grand Banquet finale on Saturday evening, February 14, 2015.

Peter Tiboris, the renowned conductor and a member of Leadership 100, conducted the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in “Symphony at Sunset”, featuring his wife, dramatic soprano Eilana Lappalainen, on Thursday evening, February 12, 2015. They were both presented with the Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Award for Excellence at the conclusion of the concert.
IOCC Honored At Grand Banquet
Constantine M. Triantafilou, the driving force behind International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) for 16 years, accepted the Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Award for Excellence on behalf of the IOCC at the Grand Banquet on Saturday, February 14, 2015. He spoke at the Opening Forum on Thursday, February 12, 2015 on the work of the organization in more than 50 countries around the world. As Executive Director and CEO, Triantafilou manages all facets of relief and development programs for IOCC, including its international headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, and 10 field offices in Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Saint Nicholas National Shrine Plans Presented at Leadership 100 Conference
Jerry Dimitriou, Executive Director of Administration of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, presented the plans and status of the project at the Thursday Forum on February 12, 2015. The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America has embarked upon a strategic capital development program to raise more than $35M for its construction, as well as for additional funding to maintain and sustain the Shrine with an endowment of an estimated $12M.
George S. Tsandikos Honored With Hellenic Heritage Award
George S. Tsandikos, Chairman of Leadership 100, was presented with the Hellenic Heritage Award by Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church of Brooklyn, New York on January 29, 2015. His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, dignitaries and parish leaders joined the Very Rev. Archimandrite Eugene N. Pappas, Pastor of Three Hierarchs, for the presentation. The Award, given to prominent Greek American leaders for promoting Hellenism, was initiated in 2003.

Leadership 100 Conference Expands Program
The 24th Annual Leadership 100 Conference will take place February 12-15, 2015 at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. It will include the traditional Bible Study and Lecture by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, along with other outstanding speakers. Two forums will feature Leadership 100 members: Michael Psaros, Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of KPS Capital Partners, LP, and Dr. Eleni Andreopoulou, from the faculty at the Weill Cornell Medical College/New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. In addition, Dr. Panagiota (Penny) Andreopoulou, an Attending Endocrinologist in the Department of Medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at the Weill Cornell Medical College, will join her sister in the presentation. A third Forum has also been added to address the building of the Saint Nicholas National Shrine at the World Trade Center.

Saint Nicholas National Shrine Plans To Be Presented at Thursday Forum
As the only house of worship destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Saint Nicholas Church is set to be rebuilt as the Saint Nicholas National Shrine at the World Trade Center by the end of 2016. Jerry Dimitriou, Executive Director of Administration of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, will present the plans and status of the project at the Thursday Forum on February 12, 2015.

Leadership 100 Partners plan to organize a Day of Service on Sunday, March 22nd, 2015 in recognition of the 50th Anniversary of Archbishop Iakovos accompanying Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on the historic Selma to Montgomery March.
George Bousis Chosen by Forbes 30 Under 30
George Bousis, 27, son of Leadership 100 members Eleni and Dimitris Bousis of Northbrook, Illinois, was chosen by Forbes 30 Under 30 2015, a select list of young entrepreneurs, “game changers, movers and shakers.” Forbes, the business magazine, screened 600 millennials in 20 fields by a panel of expert judges.He was chosen in the consumer technology field that Forbes characterized as the most promising young entrepreneurs who set out “to mobilize your life, building companies focused on helping to manage the day with use of a smartphone.”
