Leadership 100 held a recruitment dinner on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Morton’s Steak House in Troy, Michigan, hosted by Ted and Ann Zampetis, and emceed by Lou Kircos, who spoke as a member of the Audit Committee about the transparency of the organization. Zampetis, Chairman of the Membership Committee, spoke about Leadership 100 and how he was brought in by Chairman Emeritus John Payiavlas.
Leadership 100 Reaches 1,000 Members As Hellenic College Professor Joins

James Pantelidis, a member of the Leadership 100 Board of Trustees ran in the 120th Boston Marathon on April 18, 2016 for the charity “Cops for Kids and Cancer.” A 501 (c) (3) charity, “Cops for Kids with Cancer” was founded by retired and active police officers and volunteers directly involved in the care of children with cancer providing help to their caregivers through difficult crises.

Pappas of Three Hierarchs Church in Brooklyn, New York visited the Leadership 100 Office in the Olympic Tower in Manhattan with 39 Greek Orthodox students from Xaverian High School, also in Brooklyn. Xaverian is the paramount Roman Catholic preparatory school offering Orthodox Christian instruction and sacramental worship .Fr. Eugene has taught on the faculty at the school in the area of ethics and morality for 34 years.

George Sakellaris, long-time member of Leadership 100 and prominent business leader and philanthropist, was declared overall winner of 2016 RORC (Royal Ocean Race Club) Caribbean 600 on February 25, 2016, skippering his Maxi72, Proteus (USA) yacht. He was awarded the RORC Caribbean 600 Trophy for the second time, having been overall winner with his Maxi72, Shockwave in the 2014 race.

Jaharis, a Founder of Leadership 100, Vice President of the Archdiocesan Council and leading businessman and philanthropist who passed away in the Lord on February 17.
Forum On Hellenism Features Benaki Museum Lecture And Exhibits
The Hellenism Forum on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the 25th Annual Leadership 100 Conference featured a presentation by Pavlos Yeroulanos, Greece’s former Minister for Culture and Tourism, along with exhibits from the Benaki Museum of Athens. Yeroulanos is the great-grandson of the museum’s founder, Antonis Benakis. The Benaki Museum exhibits, mounted at the Museum’s expense prior to a United States tour, comprised 40-50 exact replicas from the museum illustrating Greek art from the pre-historic to the contemporary period, a replica of the notable St. Nicholas Icon, and the original album of photographs from the first modern Olympic Games held in Athens in 1896. The Exhibits opened with an Agiasmos (blessing) by His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco, the Conference host.
