Fr. Christopher T. Metropulos Elected President Of Hellenic College/Holy Cross School Of Theology
The V. Rev. Fr. Christopher T. Metropoulos was elected as the next President of Hellenic College/Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. Following a rigorous search process that began in October 2014, the Board of Trustees of Hellenic College/Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology voted unanimously on May 1, 2015 to elect Fr. Metropoulos to succeed the current President, the V. Rev. Fr. Nicholas C. Triantafilou, who after a fifteen-year tenure will retire at the end of June 2015.
Executive Committe Approves Additional Grants
The Executive Committee of Leadership 100 convened a conference call on May 13, 2015 and unanimously approved an additional $700,000 in new grants to be distributed in 2015, increasing total grants for the period of 2015 to 2017 to $2,670,799. The additional grants were unanimously recommended by the Grant Committee. The amount to be distributed in 2015, which includes previously approved grants, now totals $3,232,651, bringing the year to date total since the inception of Leadership 100 to a new high of $42,292,163.
Eleni Tsakopoulos Kounalakis Publishes Memoir
Eleni Tsakopoulos Kounalakis, a longtime member of Leadership 100, has published a memoir, Madame Ambassador: Three Years of Diplomacy, Dinner Parties, and Democracy in Budapest. She served as U.S. Ambassador to Hungary from January 7, 2010 to July 20, 2013.

Archbishop Iakovos Role In Civil Rights Movement
Leadership 100 commemorated in March, 2015 the pivotal role of Archbishop Iakovos of Blessed Memory on the 50th Anniversary of the historic Selma to Montgomery Marches for Civil Rights in 1965 with a special issue of The Leader and with a Day of Service organized by the Leadership 100 Partners. The courageous decision of the Archbishop to join Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. demonstrated his belief that all human beings are created in the image of God and so are entitled to human and civil rights.
Leadership 100 Partners Day of Service Marks 50th Anniversary of Selma Marches
The Leadership 100 Partners Day of Service was held as a multi-city event on Sunday, March 22nd at participating Greek Orthodox parishes after liturgy, in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the participation of Archbishop Iakovos of Blessed Memory in the Selma to Montgomery Civil Rights Marches. IOCC Honored At Grand Banquet
Constantine M. Triantafilou, the driving force behind International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) for 16 years, accepted the Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Award for Excellence on behalf of the IOCC at the Grand Banquet on Saturday, February 14, 2015. He spoke at the Opening Forum on Thursday, February 12, 2015 on the work of the organization in more than 50 countries around the world. As Executive Director and CEO, Triantafilou manages all facets of relief and development programs for IOCC, including its international headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, and 10 field offices in Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Saint Nicholas National Shrine Plans Presented at Leadership 100 Conference
Jerry Dimitriou, Executive Director of Administration of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, presented the plans and status of the project at the Thursday Forum on February 12, 2015. The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America has embarked upon a strategic capital development program to raise more than $35M for its construction, as well as for additional funding to maintain and sustain the Shrine with an endowment of an estimated $12M.

George S. Tsandikos, Chairman of Leadership 100, was presented with the Hellenic Heritage Award by Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church of Brooklyn, New York on January 29, 2015. His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, dignitaries and parish leaders joined the Very Rev. Archimandrite Eugene N. Pappas, Pastor of Three Hierarchs, for the presentation. The Award, given to prominent Greek American leaders for promoting Hellenism, was initiated in 2003.
