Greek Community Celebrates Harry Agganis and Greek Heritage Night at Fenway Park
On Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 the Greek Community along with the Boston Red Sox celebrated Greek Heritage Night at Fenway Park. The celebration took place before the home game against the Los Angeles Angels and was sponsored by the Alpha Omega Council.

Leadership 100 Approves $2.7 Million In Grants
The Executive Committee of Leadership 100, meeting on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the 27th Annual Leadership 100 Conference in Key Biscayne, Florida, unanimously accepted the recommendations of the Leadership 100 Grant Committee, with one addition, and approved a total of $2,668,663 in grants, according to George S. Tsandikos, Chairman.

Leadership 100 Members Create Hellenic Hearts
Hellenic Hearts, a non-profit organization, was created and co-founded by Leadership 100 members John Aivazoglou and Nick Karalis, along with Kostas Mikropoulos and Tim Vlassopoulos, with the intent of supporting Hellenes from the Greater Philadelphia area in extreme financial distress. Its inception was on February 17th, 2016, at John’s 50th birthday party when in lieu of gifts, donations were collected in the amount of $20,000.

Alma DeMetropolis, who joined Leadership 100 in 2017, capped her 25-year career at JPMorgan Chase, by returning to her native New Jersey in November of 2016 as Managing Director and a Senior Investment Specialist for the Tri-State Region of the J.P. Morgan Private Bank. She became President of the New Jersey Market Leadership team and Market Manager for the New Jersey Private Bank.

Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner announced the appointment of attorney Anastasia Palivos to a five-year term as a Commissioner of the Illinois Commerce Commission on Jan. 23, 2018. She is the daughter of Leadership 100 members Peter and Vicky Palivos and participates in Leadership 100 activities.

Dr. P. Roy Vagelos, 88, the former chairman of Merck & Co., and his wife, Diana, are donating $250 million to the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, one of the top medical schools, to underwrite financial aid. They are both members of Leadership 100.
